How You’ll Learn
Weekday Classes
Classes run in-person from Monday to Friday, 9:00AM to 4:00PM.
In-Class Instruction
You’ll attend in-person classes for both theory and practical coursework.
Instructors will use a combination of lecture, presentations, small-group work, practical demonstrations, and partnered hands-on practice to help you learn and develop the knowledge and skills necessary for your career as an RMT.
Supervised Practice
You’ll also attend weekly supervision classes for both theory and practical development.
These classes will give you the opportunity to revisit ideas and techniques introduced in earlier classes, and to integrate these new ideas and techniques into the “big picture” of the program, all under the supportive guidance of dedicated supervisors.
Clinical Experience
You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge skills in our supervised student clinic.
Working with members of the public, you’ll practice both the “hard” and “soft” skills necessary for success as an RMT, first in our in-house student clinic, and then later in a supervised practicum placement in the wider community.

Yes! Our second-year students are given the opportunity to work alongside registered healthcare professionals in the community as part of our training program.
These practicum placements will provide you with valuable experience and the chance to begin to build professional relationships even before you graduate!

Once you graduate, you can often begin to work within a matter of days.
With a diploma from Evolve, you’ll be eligible to join a professional association and begin work once your application to join the association has been processed.
We’ll assist you with this transition in the final months of your program to ensure a smooth and seamless move into your career.
-
Unlike some other provinces, Manitoba does not yet require completion of a provincial exam for massage therapists.
You will be able to practice as an RMT as soon as you have completed your training program at Evolve.
Advanced Standing / Credit Transfer
Evolve recognizes that certain applicants have completed prior learning that may be equivalent to courses offered as part of our standard Massage Therapy Diploma program.
Often, advanced standing can be granted for previous education in the areas of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and pathology, nutrition, orthopedic assessment, and remedial exercise.
Applicants who have completed some or all of their training towards a degree in kinesiology, athletic therapy, or other programs in the health sciences are welcome to submit a request for credit transfer along with their application.
